As the digital ecosystem continues to grow, so do the opportunities to make money and boost the growth of a business in it. 

The most prolific platforms for this are generally marketplaces, where almost any type of item can be promoted, with a very wide reach.

However, if you are not really motivated to sell, marketplaces have another way to earn money, including their affiliate system. 

With this system, you only need to promote products from the marketplace through your content, and for each purchase made through the links or promotional banners, you will receive a commission.

This system has become quite well known and used by Amazon, although it has declined somewhat due to the drop in commissions. 

However, AliExpress, the western sales option of Alibaba, has its own affiliate system.

How to become an affiliate on AliExpress

As we mentioned the affiliate system is not new news, however, the AliExpress programme makes a difference with higher commission rates. 

Here we can find products that bring a commission of up to 50%, with a minimum of 8%, a higher percentage than Amazon.

Now, to create an affiliate account, we just have to enter the AliExpress site, and at the bottom of the screen we will find the option "Affiliate Program". 

We can also enter more directly by entering this url portals.aliexpress.com, in the search bar.

Once we are inside this portal we can proceed to register, this will be like registering on any site. 

We must enter a telephone number, email address or log in using a Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc.

Once the registration process has begun, the basic information must be filled in, distinguishing in principle whether it is an individual or company account.

It is also possible to start the referral program either with a website or a social network, the key here is to have a considerable flow of followers or users to generate traffic to AliExpress. 

Next, it is necessary to enter the respective information for the site or social network, marking the type of content that is handled, the name and the regions of the main contact.

Finally, we must upload the contact information, and we will receive a verification code according to the method we have chosen, WhatsApp, email, etc.

How the programme works

Once registered and inside the affiliate portal you will find a dashboard with all account data, balance, current and last month's earnings.
